The last time I heard The Loose Marbles play was in Red Hook Brooklyn, but I found them in New Orleans and they consider that city their home base. There are 15 or more musicians in the group but only seven or eight play at one time. And each time, depending on the instruments and the individual musicians, the jazz they play is different. Some of them are virtuosos, professionally trained. Others had been rail-riding hobo/musicians. If you are lucky enough, you will see two dancers, a man called Chance, and his partner, Amy, dancing to the music and freezing passerbys in their tracks. You can hear them and see them online - via YouTube and also FaceBook.
